Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
errr. parang hindi ko ata kayang tumira sa iceland.
pero parang masarap mag fishing na magbubutas ka lang ng butas sa gitna ng lake and throw your line in there.
Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
You really think that's what Iceland offers? hehe...
Anyway... Surprised that HK is still up that high with all the environmental and traffic problems plaguing the SAR the past 5 years.
Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
I like warm sunny skies year round with minimal rain and very little snow. That means it's either Australia or the US for me. Most of those other countries at the top of the list are either too cold or have long spells of cloudy/gloomy skies and bad weather........Bleh.
If I lived in those other countries, I'd be freezing my butt off or be sick with a cold half the time, not to mention the gloomy winter weather would drive me nuts.
Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
AFAIK, Iceland is not covered in ice, I think you're refering to Greenland.

I've been to Naval Air Station (NAS) Keflavik back in the 90's. Summers are too short and gloomy. Winters are harsh and gloomy. The place is much too cold year round, even for me.
When it comes to islands, I rather be at the Azores than iceland. I also spent a short time in Lajes Field, Azores. Much nicer in my opinion.
I much prefer the year-round balmy, clear skies weather of Arizona. Besides, I like to wear as little as possible. Try driving without a t-shirt on in Iceland. Brrrrr .
Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
i guess they did not consider weather as a factor

No they didn't. They probably assumed people moving in will adjust to the weather. From my own experience, it's easier said than done.
It's easier for me to move from cold to warm climates than from warm to cold. I rather move to the Philippines than live in those "cold" countries.
Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
We're below... Lebanon?!? That can't be right...
Re: UN's List of Best Countries To Live In!
Mataas pa Kazakhstan sa atin! Mabuhay for glorious nation of Philippines!
