Inooverhaul ngayon yung aking L300 water Station workhorse. Ang ngyari nasira yung oil pump, natuyuan daw yung isang pistonn nanikit. Ang masakit bumingkong daw yung segunyal? crank shaft. Kaya bili din ako ng surplus P7500 ang halaga. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng crankshaft anlaking bakal pala nun. Sabi nila bihira daw nakaka sira nun kung di bali, bingkong.

Very hard to break, nga... usually, you'll just bend a few connecting rods and crack a piston... sobrang napuwersahan yun!

ako kakasira lang lastweek. b16 engine. SiR. nasira yung oil pump. was not sending much oil. nag seize yung conrod bearing ko. in the end. huminto yung ikot. nag welding yung conrod bearing sa crankshaft. sobrang disgrasya ($$$) at perwisyo. repairable sa machine shop yung cranshaft pero parang liliit ata kasi hahabulin na nila yung uka, due to the welding effect of the seized bearing and the crankshaft. e high revving engine e. so did not risk having it machined. baka mas masama mangyari. good for regular city driving nalang if repaired. di na pwede hataw.
had to buy a surplus block. kasi mahal yung crankshaft. went with the whole half block. ngayon b18c na sya. hehehehe.

Parang pareho tayo ng pagkakasira, nagloko oil pump, nanikit yung piston, bumingkong yung crank shaft. Hindi narin kaya habulin ng machine shop kasi baka mabali na..hmmm wala bang warning ang sirang oil pump? mas malaki damage neto kesa sa putol na timing belt. Complete overhaul ngyari sakin e.

meron actually. naunahan lang ako ng engine na huminto. the warning was. yung Oil Light sa gauges matagal before mawala pag kaka start lang ng makina. i was assuming mababa ang oil. but upon checking nasa level naman yung oil. so was planning to have te oil pump checked. but, naunahan ako :twak2:
overhaul talaga. had to order the overhauling gasket kit sa honda. it takes them 3 days. sa plant pa raw kukunin yun. walang ready stock sa casa. :nonono:

paano ba malalaman kung magkakaproblem na yung oil pump? pwede ba macheck yun? Kailangan lang ba monitored mo yung oil light indicator sa panel. Sobrang laki naman ng damage kapag yon oil pump pala ang nagloko.

yikes! bad trip pala masiraan ng oil pump. kelangan pala talagang vigilant ka sa mga ilaw sa gauges. minsan kasi we take them forgranted kaya mas lalo lang tayo nayayari :rolleyes:

Oil pressure guage is a good indication of low pressure or high pressure.Oil warning light is another.
Overheating can also be a sign.
Running an engine with insufficient, no oil or pressure is an engines worst nightmare.

^i haven't got any oil pressure gauge. come to think about it, mahirap ba magpa-lagay nito?

nasira din ang crankshaft ng Honda Civic 97 ko last month. i spent around 32K to fix everything. so far, it's working very well. however, is the amount a fair deal? What's the usual rate for this type of damage? :)
