local tornado?

hey you guys working in ortigas... can anybody confirm the news na nagkaroon daw ng maliit na tornada dito yesterday. yes, complete with funnel shaped formation daw.

kasi around 1pm yesterday pagtingin ko sa labas ng window eh horizontal yung ulan eh. siguro nasa 15-20 degrees yung angle ng rain sa lakas ng wind.

mini tornado? dati may nakita ako while traversing the tektite loop. . .yung parking pa sa gitna nun. . puros alikabok, leaves, and light bedris

parang malabo sa ortigas kasi daming bldg, di makakaikot ng derecho ang hangin.

i see miniature tonadoes sometimes, mga 6-8ft hehe

may kaibigan ako pag nagsalita nagkakaroon ng ipo-ipo.

seriously, medyo malaki din daw since matindi yung lakas ng hangin.

saw it yesterday sa 27th floor kami. lakas ng hangin from left and right, nagkakasalubong. kitang-kita mo dahil sa rain.

I've never heard of US-sized tornadoes in our country. Just how rare an occurrence is this?

happened once din in the late 80's ata yun. sa may laguna de bay. umuulan daw ng isda nun since sa lake nag-form yung funnel. medyo freaky yung weather nun, i remember nag hail din (yes, solid ice raining) sa area namin sa laguna, pero sandali lang.
