water fording, siyempre no clutch, you wouldnt want a wet clutch pare.
panu pag matic?....
diba auto clutch un?.hehehe.. o mali ako?
i mean may clutch padin kahit na matic kasi un makina na..
o hinde lang gumagana utak ko.haha
so, is it necessary to maintain a high RPM?Quote:

paano ba? normal gas lang?
what i know is that dapat lagi kang nasa 1st gear and naka apak ka lagi sa gas. Baha experience? dami!
pero how do you maintain high RPM without using the clutch?Quote:

best way is not to even try if you can avoid it if you are driving a car.Quote:

but if you can avoid it, put your car in 1st gear, turn off your aircon and go slow thru the water while avoiding the deeper portions of the road. Adjust your speed to be as fast as the bow wave in front of you (if the water is deep enough to create one).
pag-automatic, wala na clutch as we know it. Meron torque converter, parang donut yung shape if you can take it out.Quote:

So to try going thru a flooded road with an automatic:
-turn off aircon
-shift to the lowest gear
-proceed in a steady speed
-if you produced a bow-wave in front of you, go as fast/slow as the wave in front of you.
Always check your brakes after you leave the water.
my baha experience.
Blumentritt, Calamba (Maceda-Isarog).
As much as possible try to avoid shifting gears while the vehicle is sumberged under water for manual trannys.
Matic trannys have lesser worries since, they don't have clutch openings underneath.
