w124 wagon sls system

anyone here have experience with the w124 wagon (also known as the s124) sls rear suspension system.

mine is done for. and i would like to know a good store that has parts for these at a rather lower cost (i got quoted at 32,000 per shock, there are 2)

also are there wagon owners here who have deleted their sls system in favor for a more conventional (and cheaper) rear suspension. the ones who have done conversions are usually located in europe or american. not much else. :help:
