Actually magulo na rin si Trump, he has become more pro-LGBT quietly, and relaxing his anti-abortion stance because he wants to get more votes from the pro-abortion voters...

We'll be moving to the Philippines in the not too distant future. Things are falling to place piece by piece. Homes, accounts, paperwork.

I'm going to be one of those who won't give a damn about US politics unless it affects my pensions. I can't vote in the Philippines either. That's another plus. It'll be nice not having to deal with politics (any politics) daily. It'll also be nice not having to work or not having to stick to a schedule. No driving, no workload. Fun times ahead.

Should I need to set foot in US territory every 4 years? That will be the time to visit the USAF base exchange at Guam with a shopping list.

Where do you plan to stay when relocation time starts?

We have a house in Tacloban City, another house in Las Pinas, maybe a 3rd at Quezon City.

I think tacloban city would be your best bet. It's Still provincial w/ Lots of beautiful beaches and mountains surrounding that up and coming urban area.

Tacloban city now is probably what Davao city was in the late 90s to the early 2000s. It's Just Ready to go boom economically and i'd reckon it's also in a better position to do so - being right smack in the middle of the busy Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao land and sea traffic.

That's what my wife says. But, the houses in Tacloban City and Quezon City are fairly pedestrian. The house in Las Pinas is very nice. It's the house I spent a few years in as a kid. Single-story, 4-bedroom (plus helper's quarters/bathroom), 2 baths. Average size for a subdivision home. But, the materials are really nice, esp the marble floors and the rock (textured?) walls. Very comfortable with no fixing up required.

I used to think the gossip culture in the PH was bad. But, it's downright tame and tolerable compared to this back and forth crap going on in the US. I mean, it's quiet in my locale. But, the news gets old watching stuff like this......Places like California, for example, has been completely brainwashed. That's why I think it's a good idea to move to the PH.

My kids seem fine with it for now. Let them stay here, then.
