September 11th, 2018 09:19 AM #4i'm not an economist, but
the claim is that the current situation is not due to the train, but to other conditions.
that may or may not be. but the fact is, lifting the tren will help the situation.
it's not about what caused it. it's about what can be done to alleviate it.
why can't our decision-makers see the logic?
am i missing something?Last edited by dr. d; September 11th, 2018 at 09:22 AM.

September 11th, 2018 09:44 AM #7Lifting the TRAIN Law means bringing back the income tax for those earning below 250,000 per year (roughly 20,000 per month). And a bunch of other ridiculous tax procedures that our old taxation laws contains (inheritance, donations, etc).
IMO, the TRAIN Law has an effect on the rising prices of goods but rising oil prices in the world market compounded the problem. And the strategy of this government is not to alleviate the problem but to divert our attention to other issues tsk tsk tsk

Honestly, you can change to whatever form of government you like, but if the same people are still going to be running it (corrupt politicians, business families who ran for office just to protect their own financial interests, etc.) it will make no difference.
