for car owners obviously ramdam ang pagtaas ng presyo ng gas/diesel

pero i'm not sure if people are already spending less on other things

wala kasi data gathering sa Pinas

like i wanna see data on discretionary spending -- like kung bumaba ang spending on restaurants, specialty coffee/beverages, travel/vacations, etc
On the other hand, those who are planning to buy cars will think twice due to high cost of diesel and gasoline and I would think this will also encourage car owners to use public transport instead (will help decongest trafffic in a way).

Bumili na ko ng 3k worth of gas sa pricelocq at 75/l. Yung fuel reserve ko tingin ko enough na for 2 weeks.

IMO, scary part about the oil prices.

Oil producing countries are making money, refineries are making money, (as of March) oil transport companies are making money. Russia oil is still used by some countries.

If we consumers can spend on 80+ petrol/diesel per liter?

why would all those companies/countries want the prices to go down?

    So what's the funny part?

Early 2000, they were saying oil wells are not going to last long.

Then after the subprime crisis, they said that oil is not going to recover because renewable energy is on the rise.

Now, oil price is almost back to all time high, where are the renewables?
