    funny the public is so surprised about all this

    govt people make money with the help of friends in the private sector

    they scratch each other's back

    they grow rich together

    it's been that way since forever

    the richest live off the govt (govt protection, regulatory capture, etc)

    the poorest live off the govt (basic social services, conditional cash transfer, etc)

    Boy, our Senators are so smart when devising ways to get kickbacks from their PDAF, but sound so DUMB when they try to reason out that they're not responsible as to who they release the money to.

    That's gotta be a whole new level of gangster racketeering logic.
