Revive ko lang thread mga sir, pumasok kasi kami sa equity thru bdo this year lang. Hingi lang advice on how long dapat nandun un? Dapat ba yearly wiwithdrawhin then deposit ulit ng bago the next year? sabi kasi samin ideally 3-5 years daw dapat nandun para magka profit. TIA.

Equity fund is advisable to be invested long term. For me, minimum pa yang 3-5 years. Disadvantage ang pag withdraw then I invest mo lang ulit since magrereset ang tenure ng investment mo. Just invest then iwan mo lang dun until the time na gagamitin mo na sya sa goal na sinet mo

Btw, note of the term "ideally". Walang assurance ang equity fund or any MF/UITF. Pwede ka malugi or kumita, malaki or maliit, in a span of days or years. Pero with enough knowledge and luck you can minimize the risk and get profits.

Afaik the BIR also has a 5 year ruling on taxable income from equity funds, mutual funds and bonds. You will be liable for income taxes if you widraw within 5 years. This is suppose to encourage people to invest long term. Pag more than 5 years na then the income becomes tax free.

Read recently that we should be watching when the psei reaches the 8000-8200 mark. The article advices investors to be careful then. Bubble?

PSEi expected to hit 8300 by year end. If it gets there too quickly, definitely a market correction will ensue.

Am not really sure kung anong basis nyan. And di din kasi mappredict when iikot ang gulong ng kapalaran. Hehe. Invest with caution na lang and ipon maraming bala pag nagkataon.

meron din balanced fund (stocks and fixed income)
