Well, that is a solid Liberal Party vote if there ever was one, Roxas-Robredo. Thank you for being candid enough to admit that.

I myself was totally undecided until the last week before election day.

It would seem ironic now, but I was actually choosing between Roxas and Duterte, but leaning towards Roxas being that--one, he was "endorsed" by the outgoing administration and I was a big fan of continuity and stability at the time; and two, there did not seem to be a better alternative.

What swayed me to the opposite direction was Trillanes' theatrical exposés. His bank account revelations up until the last day of campaigning made me think hard about his true intentions. If he really had these "aces" up his sleeves he should have revealed them much earlier, not on virtually the eve of elections when it amounted to no more than mudslinging. It made me think hard why so much effort was being made by these people just to make sure Duterte does not get to within sniffing distance of Malacañan.

Events leading up to Duterte's assumption of office, after poll results were already known--further convinced me I made the best choice among all the candidates. I mean, Duterte had yet to take office and yet the established media entities were already working in overdrive demolishing his image.

As for branding or PR, as I have said--it goes both ways. For every Mocha, there's a Jover/PAB. I think it is important for anyone to realize this, it does not matter which side of the fence he or she is on.

I don't really think the citizenry, the people are divided. There's an overwhelming majority who support the government. And there's a few who do not. It is not even remotely fair to mention the word "divided" to describe this.

Again, I already said what I think of surveys, but yeah that's what the surveys are saying now.

Re Trillanes' revelation, hindi daw totoo na may BPI account si tatay digong. Pero last minute umamin din si tatay. Hanggang ngayon hindi parin pinipirmahan yung waiver

He actually issued statements and replaced his own appointed Customs chiefs when alleged meth shipments managed to go through Customs. It's in the news, both Lapeña and Faeldon. Are you trying to insinuate Duterte is himself the smuggler of those drugs ?

If you are referring to my own choice, I said I was torn between Roxas and Duterte. Implication being all things already considered, and the Trillanes part was what made me think hard. Of course the Roxas camp will deny any connection to the mudslinging by Trillanes--but surveys of course indicated he would most likely benefit being the second top vote-getter should Duterte fall off the lead, thus having the biggest motivation among the other candidates to be behind Trillanes' accusations.

If I remember as well, Trillanes' bank statements were denied by the AMLAC itself to have come from them. As for waivers, why indeed would a sitting president willingly give ammunition to political opponents

And recycled Lapena to TESDA and Faeldon to BUCOR? Is that the right way to "punish" those who were not able to detect those huge shipments of meth? You seem to be a logical person so you should be able to see through the smoke and mirrors. As for Polong, are those photos showing him with the alleged drug lords do not mean a thing?

What exactly did you misunderstand in my post when I said those two were replaced ? Weren't they replaced as Customs chiefs or not ?

mmm...so you've just assumed na yung Roxas camp yung gumawa dahil sila mag benefit if ever bumagsak popularity ni tatay digong? Will play devil's advocate. What if sa camp pala ni tatay gumawa nun talaga para ma sway nya opinion ng tao against Roxas? You know, mahilig pumanig mga pinoy sa "biktima" / under dog. Di ba magaling sa diversionary tactics si tatay?

Of course they should be blamed for letting those shipments go through, in the name of command responsibility. Do you think they are criminally liable ?
