Sad to say, Chinese culture is still deeply racist. They did call their country the "Middle Kingdom" (Zhong Guo) to highlight their central significance in the universe -- and that "Middle Kingdom" mentality is something that will not be easily erased -- especially now that the sleeping giant has awakened.
