In trouble
Please, But

Up my

MANILA - Someone is not happy about the arrival of international pop star Madonna here in the country.
In a statement sent to ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Lipa archbishop Ramon Arguelles asked why the Philippines is "the favorite venue for blasphemy against God and the Holy Mother," citing Madonna's upcoming Manila show and Lady Gaga's concert back in 2012.
He went on to ask Filipinos to pray for the country "that the devil will not succeed to draw anyone from this Pueblo Amante de Maria to his evil ways."
Below is his full statement:
"Before it was Lady Gaga. Now it is Madonna! Why is Catholic Philippines the favorite venue for blasphemy against God and the Holy Mother! Let us pray for our country that the devil will not succeed to draw anyone from this Pueblo Amante de Maria to his evil ways. Lord Jesus, save us from this ideological colonization. Mama Mary, protect the Philippines!" he said.
Madonna arrived in Manila on Monday ahead of her shows at the Mall of Asia Arena on February 24 and 25.
The international pop star has been criticized by Catholic priests across the globe for her "blasphemous" songs, music videos and shows.
During one of her concerts last year, for instance, she reportedly performed with dancers dressed as nuns on poles shaped like crosses.
In 2012, Arguelles also denounced Lady Gaga even as fans were lining up outside the Mall of Asia Arena for her concert.
He said the allusions to Jesus and Christian imagery in Lady Gaga's song "Judas" are considered blasphemy and could "destroy the spirit of those who listen."Last edited by Monseratto; February 23rd, 2016 at 10:50 PM.

Dunno, i feel her earlier songs have more meaning, more emotion. After Vogue, it evolved into this noir/alternative/70s disco/dance hybrid.
Pupunta si utol sa concert, he's been waiting for this since HS ^_^ they got the cheaper seats though
