Too true. I'm all for checks and balances in government, but people like Cayetano give legitimate dissent a VERY BAD name. All they've done during their terms is waste every penny of my taxes, spewing hot air and conducting their wild goose chases just to indulge their collective ego. Para lang masabi na may nagawa sila sa pwesto.

Even Lacson looks good when compared side-by-side with this empty yakker.

on the brighter side of the news, the economy is picking-up. we can't deny that the present leadership is doing something worthwhile naman pala. bakit kaya hindi naman nila bantayan yun ng hindi na bumulusok ulit.
kakasuka na pakinggan mga reklamador + "bantay". malamang ang hirit ng mga "bantay" natin pag naging ala Tiger economy na tayo, "dahil sa pagbabantay namin yan kaya umunlad ang ekonomiya". Yeah sure!

Legimate dissent or not, the likes of Cayetano et al have a way of twisting facts to support their personal agenda. They want to appeal to the "masa" by attacking FG's bank accounts to show that they do not side with the moneyed elite. But if we are able to read between the lines, his attacks are more personal. If he is true to his cause, there are a lot of government institutions which are graft ridden.

Bakit hindi ito tinarget niya (i.e BIR, PNP, AFP, DPWH, Office of the President, etc). Mahirap ba maghanap ng ebidensya at sa Germany pa napunta yung crusade nya? Takot ba siya sa mga ibang tao? Or it is just plain politicking? Ano nga pala mapapala nya pag tinarget niya corruption sa PNP or BIR? Ang problema kasi niya feeling niya pag inatake niya si FG absolute na yung mga paratang at crusade nya against PGMA which is unfair naman. So to prove his cause, he should start investigating where their pork barrel is spent (hello peter!). That's when I'll start to believe he has the balls to fight corruption.

I want to see a strong opposition which would fiscalize on a level that would promote our cause.

We're not at all (well, for some) stupid to be easily cowed and swayed by a "lame" opposition. Yes lame because they don't stand on any platform where they can stand proud and proclaim their love for their country. Their goal is to unseat GMA. I have not seen them rally against Coup attempts. Actions speak louder than words.

But then again, I could easily recognize an empty talker when I hear (and see) one. I can hear you Peter...

I will not vote for CAYETANO.

Remember his so called "expose" against FG Mike Arroyo's alleged secret German bank accounts without presenting solid evidence. Na KORYENTE. To me it is a case of: "Guilty until proven innocent".

If he has the guts to do it against the 1st family how much more for the common "tao". You might be accused of such crime and summoned to the senate by Senator (God forbid) Cayetano to bring evidence to prove that you're innocent.

    DOJ probing oppositionist Cayetano's citizenship

MANILA, Philippines -- The Department of Justice (DoJ) is investigating the citizenship of Genuine Opposition (GO) senatorial candidate Allan Peter Cayetano, Justice Secretary Raul Gonzalez said on Monday.
Gonzalez revealed that, in 1992, Cayetano, the third-term Taguig-Pateros representative, held an Alien Certificate of Registration and although then Immigration commissioner Andrea Domingo affirmed Cayetano’s Filipino citizenship, he wants to see if that ruling had been affirmed by the DoJ.
Gonzalez said the affirmation of one’s citizenship by the Bureau of Immigration is not enough.
Based on a DoJ opinion issued by then justice secretary Teofisto Guingona, "there can only be no other logical conclusion to the issue raised than that Orders of Recognition as Filipino citizen issued by the Bureau of Immigration are subject to the affirmation of the Department of Justice, through the Secretary of Justice."
"It’s good to look at it. If it’s not confirmed then he is not a Filipino citizen," Gonzalez said. "If yes, there won't be any problem...if not...we don't know yet."
Section 3 Article 6 of the 1987 Constitution provides: "No person shall be a Senator unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines."
Gonzalez said he received the information about Cayetano’s citizenship on Saturday.

[SIZE=2]He is at it again, asking comelec to prove that the other Peter Cayetano in the list of senatoriables is a nuisance candidate. He maybe right in saying that the other Cayetano is a nuisance candidates but I believe it is his (Alan Peter Cayetano) responsibility to proved it and not the comelec. Instead of talking and grandstanding why don't he persuade KBL party to cancel its accreditation to the other Cayetano. If the only intelligent part of his body is his mouth I rather NOT VOTE for him

it's obvious na this "peter cayetano" came from the admin..the problem with comelec, if they will not investigate then who will?, if cong cayetano came out with evidences, which I think he already has, will the comelec just accept it as it is? what if the evidences was faabricated? it measn they still need to investigate, right?

in fact, the leaders of KBL, the marcoses, had already spoken, they don't know this "jojo cayetano" they didn't nominate him, since they are the leader of KBL, they should know their members...but they didn't

the neighbors of tis "cayetano" says that he is know as jojo, since his real name is joselito, how come the nickname he filed in comelec is Peter?

so, tell me? does the comelec still needs more evidences?
