River crossings on Pit Stop, hehehe.
Marami-rami na rin river crossings ang tinawid ko, buti naman completely sealed off pa ang interior. Kaya di pa nababasa mga carpets ko.

I've crossed above tire depths dito along Dapitan st. So far, water hasn't penetrated. The technique kasi is to maintain a steady slow speed because your front bumper acts as a "bow" to the water.
Pero one incident that really got me scared was when I got stuck sa Lahar bed during the PORCI clinic last month. Front left and right tires got stuck sa river and water mixed with lahar was flowing past half my door na. Those precious 5 minutes while I waited for the winch vehicles to recover me were the longest 5 minutes of my life. I was ready to disconnect my amplifer under my seat na. Miraculously, water didn't get in!

Hindi pa din ako pinasok ng tubig due to river crossings. Just don't stop in the middle of the river and your interior will stay nice and dry.
Pero nung na-stuck ako sa Porac, lampas lower cladding na ang tubig, tuyo pa din kami ni insan sa loob. :D

September 16th, 2003 12:03 AM #9ako removable na ang carpet ko kaya pag off road, tanggal, palit ng 3m nomad. mas madali pa linisin ang nomad pag bumaba ng sasakyan at dirty ang feet. as for water entering the cabin, knowing how daring I am, walang electronic na mounted below the seats. pati speakers ko nasa bubong. floors ko may butas na mabilis pumasok water, mabilis din lumabas.
