    kakabili ko lang ng OTJ last year.. 2nd hand..
    at medyo sumakit ulo ko bago napatino...
    got mine at 50k

    pero recently napansin ko maitim usok.. kaya ipapachange oil ko sana kaso useless pala kasi hindi well maintained yung makina.. mejo kumapal na yung natuyong langis sa makina kaya no choice kundi ioverhaul ang makina.. inabot ng about 15K..

    good thing eh may talyer ang pinsan ko kaya madali iparepair. sa ngayon eh ok na ang takbo.. tires na lang kailangan ko palitan...

    sana eh wala na problema...

    kung may budget ka sir, siguro 100K plus go for 2nd hand na kotse.
    plus extra budget for possible repairs..

    sir wala na po brand new na small body, model pa yan nung late 80's and early 90's mga 80k to 100k range ng price nya

    sa presyong OTJ (100K or less), ang katawan at chassis lang siguro ang brand new. ang makina, suspension at steering systems ay surplus. kung gusto mo na lahat ay brand new, baka hindi pa kasya ang 300K... at wala pang garantiya na hindi magkakaprublema dahil ang jeep ay patse-patseng gawa. walang pasadyang piyesa. puro improvised. samakatwid, hindi engineered product ang OTJ.
    buuut... jeeps are fun to build and fun to drive, if you are one to throw caution into the winds.
    and i've always dreamed of having an air-conditioned jeep... a wave of the hat to the hoi polloi..

    ganun din kami..first vehicle namin ay owner type jeep..willy's pa..
    tapos sumunod stainless naman kumpleto with sound system ang ganda pa ng set up..
    maganda rin kasi presko..
    mahirap lang pag summer, tagaktak pawis mo, lamon mo pa alikabok pati usok ng kalsada..
    pag tag ulan mababasa ka rin..pag naglagay ka ng trapal ay init naman sa loob..
    pamporma dito sa cavite ok lang, pangharabas..
    mahirap iwan sa mga malls o sa labas, kelangan may bantay delikadong mawalan ng gamit sa loob..

    sa bandang imus madami pa ring nagbebenta..galvanized, semi stainless at stainless..pwede ring pa assemble..pero nga di ka sigurado sa quality ng gawa nila at puro surplus ang parts..

    it's your choice, pwede ngang 2nd hand car na lang..toyota 94 and below ok pa rin..di pa problema kung mainit o umulan basta ayos ang aircon..

    sa pro's naman tayo

    1. mas mura ang maintenance nga OTJ, lbabas na mas mura in the long run dahil sa availability ng parts <dahil kahit anong compatible pd>
    2. check ako jan sa price range
    3. depende sa assembler,,, my dad has 1 gawang rizal and no issues sa suspension and allignment
    4. accurate din ang fuel gauge and other instrumentation.
    5. hindi lahat ng owner non aircon...
    6. hindi lahat unstable at high speeds... my dad can run 120 sa nlex kaya pang ibirit walang tunog and issues...

    eto ay dahil sya ang unang owner...

    un sakin ang laki din inubos bago mapatino ang takbo... 55k nakuha so far malakilaki na naubos... but all worth it... trully pinoy

    My brother have one before, binenta na lang ng mura para maalis sakit ng ulo. Bakit masakit sa ulo? Just consider these:

    1. Mahirap pag umuulan. Trapal ikakabit pumapasok pa rin ang ulan, dahil may trapal hindi na magamit ang side mirror kaya malapit sa disgrasya.
    2. Hindi pwede iiwan basta na lang sa side street parking. Dapat may bantay kaya sobrang hassle.
    3. Pinaka importante ay safety features.. almost nil. I witness twice paano natanggal/nabali ang tubo na kinakabitan ng front wheels after ma shoot sa butas ang unahang gulong.

    Iilan lang ito sa mahabang ayaw ko sa Owner Type Jeep.

    Some people would still prefer to get a brand-new vehicle, no matter how old is its concept or how poor is its trim - an example is the Fiat Uno still offered brand-new in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela and other South-American countries.

    As far as 2nd-hand goes, I would prefer to get a Mitsubishi L300 with aircon than an owner-type jeepney.

    As far as owner-type jeep goes, I would only want one if it was a Wrangler

    ako sa 2nd hand car na lng, may 120k ka may mga toyota ka na mabibili, yung big body. kapitahay namin dati magpapagawa otj yung singil sa kanya 140k, then inoffer ko mazda 323 namin, 130k lang, una ayaw nya kasi sabi eh 95 model pa yung mazda namin. pero sang beses nakita ko sya sa kalsada nagbabantay ng jeep,yun pinasakay ko, and napansin nya na alaga yung mazda, and lahat sa loob gumagana pa, from speedo and tachometers hanggang sa fuel gauge, and ok yung sounds kasi naka 2 jbl subs sa likod saka 2 power amps, hehe. ayun binili nya after a week. ngayon kagi nya binibida sa mga barkadang naka otj. kasi nga naman naka aircon ka wala ka hassle sa init at ulan, sa parking pede mo rin iwan, unlike sa otj na babantayan mo dapat. pero kanya kanya rin na taste yan mga tol, if ano ang gusto yung ang sundin at saka ang pasok sa budget
