CONS:
1. jeeps are prone to kalampag after a few years. pangit naman parepair and weld kasi stainless.
2. a brand new jeep costs just about the same or even more than a good 2nd hand.
3. standard leaf springs suspensions, alignment adjustment problems.
4. inaccurate fuel gauge readings.
5. non-aircon, hirap pag tag-ulan attaching plastics side covers.
6. unstable at high speeds and not engineered for safety in case of accidents.

We had jeep as the first vehicle and the woes were endless.
Some people would still prefer to get a brand-new vehicle, no matter how old is its concept or how poor is its trim - an example is the Fiat Uno still offered brand-new in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela and other South-American countries.

As far as 2nd-hand goes, I would prefer to get a Mitsubishi L300 with aircon than an owner-type jeepney.

As far as owner-type jeep goes, I would only want one if it was a Wrangler
