based on experience, isuzu 4bc2 is the best. 4be1, mahal at hard to find ang pyesa.

In my experience as a fleet manager here in our company, we have 10 Canters (old type - 4D31) and 5 Isuzu NKR in our fleet (4BE1), i can honestly say na mas matibay yung Canter, our Canters didn't have its engine overhauled until the 13th or 14th year of service in our company by which time the average mileage of those trucks had reached 300,000 km, in contrast most of our NKR units have already had its engine replaced, IMO, hindi bagay sa heavy loads yung 4BE1, mahinang klase, madaling bumigay kaya we just changed our engines to the old model 4BD1 and 4BC2 which proved to be infinitely more reliable and definitely more durable than the 4BE1.

December 17th, 2007 07:45 PM #62nd hand unit preferably local para walang conversion. Di ko alam difference ng mga engines. Closed van or high side pick up will do, cover na lang ng tarp. Baka nga mas ok pick up type para mas mura at mas flexible.
Need to purchase by Feb or March of 2008.

December 23rd, 2007 01:59 PM #7Canter. I'm a canter owner myself.

Sir,
Good day!
I drove a mitsu canter for 3years brand new yon sa amin my route was ilocos norte, ilocos sur, mountain province and benget and maganda performance. I use to drive around 2100 kms in one trip and ang naging problema lang namin ay ang pahinante na kasama sa truck hirap kami humanap kasi nadadala sa haba ng byahe namin. hehe.
So i use to trick yon mga tambay sa street namin na gusto maka experience ng road trip with an " pre ilocos tayo balikan lang me bayad pa naka hotel pa tayo, hehe"
It was a resupply run.I miss those days.
