From what I know, that the safe limit. If memory serves, FC nila nasa around 2km/ltr.

Are those really the manufacturer's set load limit? I need a truck kasi that can load up to at least 7-8 tons. Parang overkill kasi kung mag 10-wheeler ako, and almost twice the price pa ang 10-wheeler and siguradong mas malakas pa sa fuel consumption. I will be forced to get a 10-wheeler.

It depends on the model and the condition of the truck.

If you'll buy direct from Subic, a 10-wheeler dropside truck would cost around 1M up.
