"Remanufactured Trucks" is just another name for surplus imported old trucks that are fixed up to look "new".
Other people's trash sold to poor countries.
Not really the path to take if you want an "all filipino car industry".

January 3rd, 2010 12:51 AM #8everybody is entitled to their own opinion, pero you guys should see their reconditioned units, parang brand new talaga, di mo aakalain na surplus pala sila, di ko nga lang sure kung how much ang pricing nila...
but if guys are planning on purchasing a truck, you should consider sobida, hopefully ok ang aftersales nila

And that is where it stops. Aftersales is still questionable. Commercial trucks is not just a matter of getting cheap trucks.
It is also a matter of getting dependable trucks that will run without malfunction day-in and day-out.
Commercial trucks will also need spare parts. I would rather get an ISUZU or Mitsubishi brand truck/van so spare parts will be relatively easier to find.
What is the gain in getting a "cheap" truck/van when you can not get it to run because it needs a replacement part that the seller/dealer/remanufacturer does not stock and will need days/weeks before that part arrives after ordering?Last edited by ghosthunter; January 3rd, 2010 at 01:35 AM.
