I don't really think people will buy in to this, parang mas OK pa yung mga jeep na gawa sa Nueva Ecija eh, mas aerodynamic pa,

Needs further improvement, make it more aerodynamic and less boxy, perhaps somebody might get impressed...

and what was the reason why the "baby bus" was phased out from edsa? and now this! instead of finding a way to phase out the jeepney from major metro roads they now try to come up with models to bring back a vehicle that was deemed the main cause of traffic at edsa before.
those jeepneys should be on rails! double deck, like in HK. if they are on rails then they can not go in and out of their lanes. and if it stays too long at a stop the one behind will be beating on his ass!

August 6th, 2014 11:33 AM #5I agree with yebo. Take out all buses and jeeps/UV express vehicles from EDSA and replace with trams.

is there not an ordinance that jeepneys can not have more than 17 passengers? kasi na-uso before "waluhan", "syaman" and "sampuan", meaning 8, 9 and 10 in a row at the back. the problem was since these big jeepneys take a long time at the corners to get passengers they caused more traffic. so naglabas ng rule ang ltfrb na bawal ang jeep na longer than "pituhan".
i bet sarao will be trying to get around this by claiming the seating arrangement is facing forward instead of sideways!

and maybe just like their ancestors (AC or auto calesa, then the sarao, francisco, armak and the rest of the jeepney clan, they will be parked on the sidewalks. most of these jeepneys don't have terminals and garages to park for the night.

are we supposed to be impressed by that?
that thing demonstrates how far behind the Philippines is in motor vehicle development
pinasok na nga tayo ng Tata and Mahindra
that thing is just a jeepney built on an Isuzu Elf chassis
locally made mini-buses have been built on Isuzu Elf or Forward chassis for decades
that thing is nothing new
other countries are building maglev trains for mass transport
tapos pinagmamalaki ng Pinas ang sasakyan na pang Mad Max?
