*caloyski: so we're not the only ones, eh?
-----
Kung Bosch Icon mismo, di yan mangyayari, because that plastic cover provides extra stiffness and durability to the assembly. And the lower bracket is different in shape anyway.
The current "cheap" (ranging from 350-400) ones for sale don't have the upper cover, and as the bracket adapter's lower struts are only stuck in instead of molded as one piece, the vibration and weight of the wiper makes them give way.
An indication that the wiper is close to giving is wiper wiggle, as that indicates when the lower struts have broken. Once the upper struts follow suit, goodbye wiper.
*caloyski again, I don't think Mighty Bond alone will work. You'll need extra material kasi to stiffen it. I put in yellow pieces of cardboard from the Mighty Bond package.. ayan, mukhang garnish lang, kaya ok. Mas maganda nga sana kung metal bracket o staple mismo para sure, but I haven't had time to scour through my old toolboxes.
*odell: may cover ba, katulad ng Bosch? If not, iba na ang hahanapin ko.
