    Hi,

Do you have any idea where I can find metric sized vacuum hoses besides speedlab (mahal kasi e)?

I have replaced my vacuum hoses with an english measure (1/4") and I didn't like the response. I feel some minor jerks when the a/c engages.

Vacuum hose is a vacuum hose it does'nt matter what type of hose or kind of car where you use it. It need's to be big enought to fit but not too loose and long enought to reach the oropice each side. If no avail to find what you looking for, use a hose clamps to tighten up.

the fittings are not a problem. it's the inner diameter of the hose which is i am after. the vacuum manifold pressure is directly affected by the diameter of the hose. i am still isolating the vacuum lines because this is what i replaced.

If your vacuum manifold pressure is affected, try retorquing the intake manifolds bolts and if that things wont work the intake manifold has to be removed and the intake gasket must replace. Its not the hose diameter affecting the manifold pressure unless its leaking. Check the vacuum preasure of your car, if you have vacuum gauge you could measure it. Most engine should be steady between 16 and 22 Hg (Mercury) and if you have lower reading than that, you have a leaked

    *spyghost,

Sana okey na car mo, wala kayang current leaks yung ignition sytem nyan. Yung kakilala ko napa-overhaul na yung kanyang carburetor at top engine job na rin pero di nawala yung palya, only to find out finally na may mga leak paths pala yung distributor cap nya, pinalitan lang tumino na.

i haven't taken the actual measurements yet. i just took the old and new hoses and placed them side by side. i guess i'll be needing 4mm or 5mm. i'll be checking on the diameter once i get home.

do you have these hoses in your shop?

3/5/8mm vacuum hoses? Ano yan inner or outer diameter? Parang ang laki naman kung inner diameter, which is usually what is measured (to measure the proper volume of air passing through per given amount of time) rather than outer diameter. The thickness of the vacuum hose walls can differ kasi.

I am looking for the inner diameter. 3mm and 5mm in particular. the thicker the outer walls the better for me.
