Re: When Do You Replace Tires?
10 years is pushing it.
6 years is typically about as much useful life you can reliably get from a tire, even if if's brand new unused old stock.
The rubber gets brittle over time whether or not it is used. That can mean two things: It looses its grip and/or becomes easily damaged. Either way, it's not worth getting into an accident over a tire's age.

yep i know 10yrs is pushing it. but if car is mostly in covered garage away from sunlight and there's absolutely no damage or cracking (even just micro-cracking), up to 10yrs should be ok. that's michelin's recommendation anyway

If these are good quality tires, you can normally push longer lalo kung mostly city driving ka lang. I won't go above 10 years for a tire though (although malabo umabot ng 10 years yung tire without it wearing out first assuming you use the car regularly)
Re: When Do You Replace Tires?
I use the tread wear indicator (yung nsa pagitan ng tread) as my guide, or 6 years, whichever comes first.

The difference is that other nationalities don't have people like you who call out every single error. Noticed that you're so keen on bashing Filipino culture - was wondering if you aren't Filipino.
