stone chips

habang papunta ako manila napansin ko may stone chip bigla sa windshield ko
kasing laki ng 25 cents ung crack pero ung center parang maliit na pako lang feeling ko may tumalsik na bato galing sa harap na sasakyan

may alam ba kau nag aaus ng stone chip along pampanga? and i think i need car insurance ano po ma rerecommend nyo

if your car has comprehensive insurance right now, stone chips is probably covered.
what car/year po?

Sadly, wla pong insurance. Its a civic fd 2009. Still finding a good car insurance

Need ko sana nag aaus ng stone chip sa windshield baka lumaki. At lumaki bayarin.

i do not know how safe such repaired windshields are...

kapag pinapalitan, they have two rates.
the larger price includes insurance, because windshields sometimes shatter during the process.
the cheaper rate does not have such insurance.
10K yata, but i could be wrong...
but i think today's windshields are replaced in a different manner from those of yesterdecades'. mas madalang na yata ang shatter...

some insurance firms refuse comprehensive insurance on cars over ten years old.
but some post-ers here say this-and-that firm still accepts. let us hear from their replies.

you will have to look around for companies willing to insure your 2009 fd as most common companies only insure cars up to 10yrs old. mayroon naman mag i-insure niyan kailangan mo nga lang maghanap/tanong.

noong araw i tried a windshield repair service para sa crack ng millenium starex namin. i was not happy. though na repair nagkaroon ng parang "grado ng salamin" dun sa portion na they put in material to fuse and bond the crack.

Opo nag ssearch aq sa net ng insurance.

Its just that i dont have that kind of money right now thats why im settling for windshield repair kit or repair sa pampanga.

experience ko naman sa windshield repair, after siguro several months, lumaki pa din. eventually pinapalitan ko. madalas matulin din kc ang takbo

you can ask around baka naman nag improve na windshield repair techniques at proceso ngayon. yung starex repair ng windshield na sinabi ko was close to 2 decades ago pa.

i am assuming may halaga ang buong windshield ng fd at ang laki niya (i owned a 2006 fd noon). personally happy ako sa aguila maski replacement glass. nakapagpalit na ako noon ng buong windshield ng honda city gm. made in china xyz ata tatak. no complaints pero 7k pesos din at medyo malapad. yung tiyo ko nagpalit sa aguila. vios batman rear windshield 3.5k non-orig china also. ok naman.

maski di orig honda goods na sa akin ang aguila. laminated glass pa din naman. fyi lang yung mga bagong bmw china na din galing ang side windows. front windshield na lang ang original na pilkington UK.

P3.5-4K lang yan sa Aguila/ Comglasco, palitan nalang. Mapapamahal ka pa sa repair and annoying yung vision sa repaired area.

we used to see a lot of these repaired windshields in the old JD and MD buses.
they had huge front windshields, but i remember that the repaired areas are at the periphery of the glass.
sagabal nga siguro kapag yung repaired area is in the line of sight of the driver. parang may pangit na grado yung salamin.
