Pina engine flush ko kasi sya using STP Engine flush (15 mins ang recommended but 10 mins, flush na agad as not to stress yun mg valve seal ko)The good thing was, Fully Synthetic gamit ko dati, kaya kahit maduming madumi na sya, malabnaw pa rin sya yun nga lang itim sya talaga.
Ngayon my new oil is Helix Super 20w50 na my cleansing agent(Daw sabi dun sa lalagyan nya), But im not planning to use this oil for so long, siguro mga after 2 weeks i pa change oil ko uli and go for FULL Synthetic again. Me nabasa kasi ako sa ibang forum na maganda daw yun to let the low cost oil clean act as your engine flush then change it to more quality oil like synthetic para malinis na malinis talaga.

Yes, kasi yun mga oil have a cleansing property naman kahit mga low cost but mas maganda kuha ka yun me Active cleansing agent(Wag Surf or tide ha? he he he just kidding) nakalagay naman yan sa lalagyan. Kasi sa mga old car like my car ( '96 honda civic vtec) medyo old na rin talaga engine kaya there are times na kahit kakapalit mo pa ng bagong oil, then check the dipstick me itim ka parin nakikita since eto yun mga residue ng old oil. So, doing the said process...medyo sure na sure ka na alang old oil or dumi na naiwan sa engine mo.
YUN NGA LANG MEDYO GASTOS?he he he he
By not doing it will not adversly ruin your engine naman basta regular ang change oil mo BUT i like the LOGIC of the process kaya kahit magastos, yun ang practice ko (For newer car, hindi advisable kasi as in dagdag gastos lang talaga eto he he he)....

July 10th, 2007 07:52 AM #2420w50 is pretty heavy na for hondas. mas masama fuel consumption mo with that oil. try to use at least a 10w40 weight oil lang.
kahit ba mainit makina mo may usok parin? if so then may sira na nga siguro valve seals
