Mga sirs! Paano ito?
Nagpa-tune-up kanina ang erpats ko ng '03 Toyota Vios 1.3E sa Toyota Balintawak-North para sa 40,000km PMS. Maraming ginawa dahil heavy daw ang 40k. Umabot ng around P10,000 lahat lahat, with the labor, parts and fluids.
--Code-------------Description-----------------Units----Amount
..Sublet 2S3269... X1R................................ 1120.00
So far wala namang difference, aside from siyempre yung expected benefits ng PMS, especially with a new air filter. And hopefully, the 'magic' isn't happening yet on the engine. :nerves:
Anong kababalaghan 'to? Can I ask for a refund on something I did not order? If I don't want this on my engine, can I ask them to drain the engine oil and replace it with new oil?
Help needed pls.

January 27th, 2008 09:42 AM #5that's probably why so many toyota engines have bad cases of sludge. if pumayag sila drain it and replace with oil only.

Complain, get a refund for the 1120, and have the oil changed again.
Unless the manual calls for it, they should never add additives to your engine oil without informing you first.
Your engine won't die because of it... but you don't really need it... and adding extra additives to an oil already filled with additives just puts more stuff in the oil that can break down over time, causing sludge.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Its not just toyota. honda is also doing it nowadays. I remember reading in the owners manual that these kind of additives are not needed thats why i was surprised to see it in my parts list when i brought it for the car’s usual PM schedule.
I think they are capitalizing on the fact that most car owners today are unaware that they dont need those things.
For me i remove at least 3 items on the list. Theres the x1-r, a brake stop squeal and a aircon antibac. Saves me at least 2k on my bill.

January 12th, 2018 10:13 AM #8Also a victim here in Toyota Dasma Cavite.
Upon service x1r i asked them to remove it from the list to be done. Aba ang mga hinayupak pagka sauli sa service dinagdagan naman daw ng kesyo washer cleaning fluid and battery fluid all without my prior consent. Mag huhuramentado pa sana ako but thought otherwise. If i remember correctly i paid an something like an additional 200plus.
