I agree with Horsepower. For sturdiness, firmness and security, drilling is preferable though you have to sacrifice the car's roof from holes.

if you want to put roof rails and plan to drill holes, buy the best roof rail. ang mga taiwan with plastic end caps always break easily. find those na sturdy ang plastic ends and look if the screw has a plastic coating that when installed will act as a seal in the holes.

I don't really trust the adhesives. You'll be working against the elements here, Sun heat, rain, wind - all those would tear the adhesives apart which, most likely is only clinging to the paint which is removable in itself. Mataas ang probability na maka-disgrasya ka pa.
Not worth the porma IMO. And to be candid, why on earth would you want to put a roof rail if you're not gonna use it?

drilled holes bago i-screw.

February 6th, 2007 11:13 AM #10i agree with horsepower.they add drag no matter how skinny they are and if its not done right..youll get a whistling sound too when driving fast.my SUV actually had a roof rack and i took it off so no one can suggest/ask me to put their stuff up there if/when they need a ride carrying something heavy/long.
