    :bald: hey peeps help naman

    car is a 97 city lx m/t

    manual steering lang po sya.

    recently may tumutunog na "clok-clok" sa ilalim
    kapag dumadaan sa lubak-lubak.
    replaced rack-ends, tie-rod ends, both front shocks na
    the rack ends & tie-rod ends are OEM, but installed
    outside the casa. the shocks are kyb and also installed outside the casa..

    when i had it diagnosed, binaba pa yung buong
    rack & pinion assembly para talagang makita ang problema..mechanic said sira na daw ang pinion gear..
    hindi naman daw siya bungi...sira daw yung bearing...sabi rin niya hindi nakakabili ng yun lang..bibilhin mo buong assembly na..
    :whoa:
    pwede p b tong i-repair o bumili nito?
    ang mahal kasi ng buong assembly.hindi kaya ng budget.

    Did they also happen to check the bushings? Shock absorber bushings, anti-sway bar bushings and etc.

    hmmm. as i can remember, hindi yata. pero one time when i brought it to honda to have it repaired.. it said in the receipt: "lubricated steering preload" after that the noise was gone. then after a few weeks ayan na naman siya.

    do bearings go clok-clok? probably one of your bushings.
    where did you have it diagnosed? casa ba yan?

    Sa Casa yon, then i went to Rapide and also to Servitek to get a second opinion..they all seem to point to that part..

    what i want to know is, can i buy that part alone? (pinion gear) or i have to buy the whole rack & pinion assembly.

    forgot to mention....napaltan ko na rin pala CV joints...pero sa outer lang..alam ko iba ang tunog pag CV joint ang sira eh..tsaka hindi siya tumutunog pag nalulubak..tama ba?
