January 3rd, 2005 09:47 AM #1my ride never really felt like it accelerated very well, and i've blamed this on improper shifting on my part. pero recenly kasi napansin ko na at certain times, it seems a lot more responsive than usual -- dati rati kasi you can feel a slight delay between pushing down on the gas and the car actually going faster. at certain moments kasi ang ganda ng response. wala naman akong pinalitan. problema kaya to sa timing?

it could also be the fuel you are using.
btw when was the last time you had a tune-up?

January 4th, 2005 11:52 AM #5never? hehe! ok ah!!!
actually, replacing the plugs, air filter, fuel filter and oil is most of the maintenance a car usually needs.
replace all of that and you shouold feel new vigor in the way the car drives.

January 5th, 2005 02:29 AM #6After you have replaced all of the things mentioned above, have your timing checked. The acceleration lag that you mentioned may have something to do with timing that is a bit retarded.
