Hi again.. Just fixed my rear wheel bearing last month and now I got a new issue with my car..

Anyone can help me with my power window system? Nag go-ghost function po or I don't know what it is called.. Nag au-automatic function po yung lock and unlock ng mga pinto once na i-start ko ang car and even while driving, it keeps on locking or unlocking the doors..

Ano po kaya problem sa window system? Pwe-pwede pa po kaya maayos? Wiring po kaya or palitan n ung control unit? Pasensya na po palaging my issue ang sasakyan ko.. Thanks n din as always!

Trying to recall things from my Civic FD days, the door locks and the power windows, among others, are controlled by the MICU (Multiplex Integrated Control Unit). This is part of the cabin fuse box assembly (located by the left knee of driver), above the ODB2 port.

So your issue could be caused by a problem within the MICU, the switch module on the driver's door, a cabling and/or connector problem, etc. More than likely, it's probably the door switch module. This is especially susceptible to getting wet from rain (while the door is open in a downpour) or if it's touched with food-contaminated hands. On the latter, it tends to draw insects like ants.

Did your Civic came with speed-sensing door locks? I think this was only standard on the 2.0S trim.... not sure. I used to have a 2008 Civic 1.8S and it didn't came with speed-sensing door locks.

iyong locking and unlocking ng fd mo could be a symptom of a dying battery.

naalala ko that happened to me while i was riding shotgun in my friend's mitsubishi chariot/space wagon. akala mo possessed iyong kotse niya.

So just to be clear, both the power windows and door locks are malfunctioning?

Around 17 speed po nag au-auto lock and in my case, once na i-start ko ang vehicle, nag ti-trigger na ung lock system, basta anytime once the car is started ..

Yung sa driver window, it has auto-up/down and anti-pinch function, right? Maybe it's out of calibration. There's a calibration procedure but I can't remember na. It's been over 10 years.

As for the door locks, naka factory alarm and key fob ka pa rin ba or naka aftermarket alarm na?

sana ay switch panel lang, para simple replacement lang...

    i wonder,
if fixing the computer is a $$$,
can TS de-convert his power windows to simple aftermarket,
so as to bypass all them logic circuits?
... but it might leave a consistent red light on the dashboard...

considering the car's age, baka naman sobra na madumi iyong window channels ng window kaya may resistance na. try cleaning and lubricating it w/ silicone spray. wag regular wd-40 ang gamitin kasi mas magkaka-friction iyong rubber sidings sa bintana mo.
