May 4th, 2007 01:42 PM #4Yup manual transmission.
Yung wife ko kasi just learned to drive. E minsan pinagpapraktis ko siya sa car namin. Palage siya namamatayan, mga more than 10x. I was just thinking kung nakaksira ito ng sasakyan.

ayun naman pala practice driving pala. talagang mamamatayan yan lalo na pag di timplado yun clutch sa gas. I would suggest that you show her first why we need to step on the clutch before we shift and why we have to release it slowly when she is on first gear. di naman makakasira yan baka lang humina ang battery at di na mag start... ;)

hi hops!the starting system is designed to crank the engine several hundred times no matter what. but it its electrical (carbon brushes, armature assembly, etc) and mechanical components (shaftings, bushings, etc) will wear out in time...
in practice driving, the important thing to do is to wait for at least 15 seconds each time the engine dies before cranking the engine again. the rationale lies on the fact that the flywheel ring gear will still spin (owing to momentum) for a few seconds when the engine dies all of a sudden.starting (cranking) the engine too son will mesh the starter motor's pinion gear with the rotating flywheel. this may damage both 'teeth' pretty quickly...hope this helps.
