September 23rd, 2007 09:55 AM #1Ganito kasi, hard starting ang kotse ko. Toyota SR 1976. Ang lakas ng redondo nya. Bagong battery, spark plugs, condenser, contact point at ignition coil.

September 23rd, 2007 11:34 AM #7An ignition coil is basically a transformer that steps up the cars 12volts to thousands of volts. So yes pwede makakuryente.
If you want to experiment, pull the high tension wire from the ignition coil going to the distributor cap. Replace it with a normal wire. Dim the lights, you can see it better this way. Position one end inside the igntion coil and the other end to metal. Dont let it touch the steel, keep it away by a few mm. Make sure its far from gasoiline. Turn the key to on. Watch the sparks fly. You will most likely feel a little jolt. :electricf:
Don't worry it wont be fatal. :injured:
BTW, if you do try the experiment, dont touch the ignition coil with the key "on position". And keep away from its, secondary side.Last edited by userfriendly; September 23rd, 2007 at 11:41 AM.

September 23rd, 2007 12:14 PM #9Kung grounded ka, madrain ang battery mo.
Suggest you have your starter checked.
