    mga bossing, how do you reset the knock sensor on a lancer? auto reset ba yun, parang hindi kasi. my wife used the car and since she did not know how to drive she called my erpat's ex-driver. binigyan nya pera to gas and the driver went to the gas station alone, unleaded ang kinarga (93 ron, lancer needs 94 ron minimum). so ngayon medyo mataas daw idle, even after using up all the unleaded ang filling up with blaze. they already tried pressing the button sa knock sensor. di ba dapat naka-protrude yung button?

    Di pa naaayos sa ECU reset? Medyo limited alam ko dyan pero that might work.

    I've been using 93 ron on my 97 Lancer ever since, la naman ako problema, shell unleaded in particular.


    Yeah try resetting the ECU

    walang reset ang knock sensor as it is only a sensor that "listens" to the block using a piezo mic-lic thing... ECU ang kailangan i-reset po.

    yung sa lancer kasi meron button tapos parang meron indicator ng spark advance. anyway thanks sa replies. i'll reset the ecu when i get home.
