mga bro,
i drive a 1992 Honda Accord LX, US model and is fitted with a Denso compressor (stock).
this year alone, i've had my A/C system done 3 times by other technicians for cleaning, replacing the freon, drier, expansion valve, etc. lumabas every quarter binabalik ko sa mechanic.
last week, after my 3rd visit to the shop, nawala ang lamig. had it checked and they said that it migth be the compressor coz the peep hole of the drier is black from the oil.
they didn't want to touch the compressor coz mahirap daw ang denso parts. suggest that i replace the compressor but if i have it changed with another brand like sanden, they will have to change the bracket and fittings too.
is it worth bringing my car to denso? i did a back read on some of the other aircon threads, malayo si mang mario where i live; new owners na daw si dankee; i'm inclined to inquire with ceejay's.
any recommendations?
TIA

Tnx!:nod

been a long time customer of their shop in makati near magallanes overpass and the one here in e. rod near tomas morato(started when they were still in banawe n. roxas st.)
medyo pricey but they do a good job, even putting back the unit tama ang salpak, i think Theveed knows the original owners in makati, the one in e rod. was their partner that set up shop on his own but still get supplies from makati. sila gumawa nung 2 hiace. yung una nagtipid ako kasi nga medyo malaki ang quote, in the end hilaw ang lamig kahit anong balik ko sa pinagawan ko, puro palusot lang yung mekaniko. so after a year of his BS, nabutas ulit yung evaporator na kinabit nya so kay denso na ako nagpagawa. ayun parang freezer na ulit yung hiace. so when i bought our 2nd hi ace at nag ka problema na aircon, sa denso ko na din pinagawa sa e rod.
mahal but you get the quality job naman. pinauwi yung parts na pinalitan, iniwan ko na lang sa kanila dagdag kalat lang sa bahay kasi.

Almost the same ride here pre (Accord94), bought a Surplus NipponDenso compressor recently in Banawe nsa 3500. Then pinakabit ko na lng sa trusted na AC mechanic. As of now ayus nman.
Thanks!
