August 15th, 2006 09:39 AM #14am using a breathable water-resistant car cover at home. it does a job well naman, except dun sa portions na me punit/butas. pansin ko lang dati, kung basa kotse mo, hindi kaagad agad matutuyo pag nalagyan na ng cover; kelangan ata na umaraw talaga.
imho, kahit basa ung kotse, tatakpan ko pa rin. although you'll get stains, the cover will keep out bird poo, bigger sand/dust particles that get dislodged from leaves/trees/roofs, etc. at least kahit papano menos trabaho sa paghugas ng kotse.
ung concern ko lang nga is that it's a rusty old car; baka lumala ang rust pag hindi naeevaporate ung tubig at nakakababad ang exposed parts for a longer time
btw, a family friend once put on a car cover on his car after driving. natunaw daw at dumikit sa hood B) sorry OT

How about those 2 layered 100% waterproof car cover? The one with canvass on the outer layer and soft material on the inside. Saw them at Hans Tools and True Value in Shangri-la priced at P1,200.00 petot. OK kaya ang quality nito? I'm currently using the "breathable" ones pero hindi KOBE ang brand, had it washed a couple of times na din and still going strong. I hav no choice but to put car covers dami kasing "gasgas" people (kids, vandals, tambays) dito sa subdivision namin since wala akong garage at street parking lang ako. I'm planning to put the breathable ones during rains and the waterproof ones before the onset of rain and while the car is still dry.

im using the waterproof ones, perfect for keeping dusts away. those breathable covers will still let fine dusts pass thru.

we use kobe for SUV and another (dont know what brand) for civic sir, so far ok ang kobe ung lang sa civic ang nagka problema kc matagal ng di ginagamit nung gagamitin na, nakupo puro amag ang loob ng car, puro pekas, dahil kaya ito sa cover kasi ung cover sa civic parang sa payong ang tela parang plastic na tela(dont know what they call this fabric).
