January 17th, 2025 03:16 AM #8Good point. Foxconn's been aggressive in EV manufacturing - they've already got partnerships with Stellantis and are building factories in China. Their tech manufacturing expertise could make them a serious EV player. The Japanese automakers are probably defensive about protecting their tech and market position. Smart strategic move by Honda and Nissan to consolidate before someone like Foxconn disrupts their market.

January 19th, 2025 05:55 AM #10Yeah, exactly! Foxconn's pushing hard into the EV scene, and their manufacturing know-how could make them a real threat. Honda and Nissan definitely need to move fast to secure their positions before someone like Foxconn comes in and shifts the balance. It’s a smart play on their part, no doubt.
