This will not achieve anything. Pano naman niya nasabing "artificial surge" eh yung dollar ang bumababa ang value, tapos tumataas din ang oil dahil oil is priced in dollars?

Pano ba sulatan yang nagpasimuno niyan?

2 day boycott no effect ito. besides this is a distructive gesture. it is not only the phil peso is appreciating against the USD. most world currencies are. some companies give inflation adjustment every year to cover the weakening USD. the real question is why prices of goods and gas are not going down with the stronger peso? pati tuloy NPC kumikita sa stronger peso.

Last two years, when we got our house construction loan from the bank, the rate was 56 to 1 pesos, so we decided to fix our rate at 11.5% per annum at 5 years..coz we're afraid the usd will fall at 60 to 1..

    and it prove us wrong...

Those who initiated and participated in the boycott would probably remit the equivalent amount of what they should have sent for the 2 days anyway. Hehe!

    Boycott remittance for 2 days?

    ano effect nyan?

Did that ever work?

Besides, even if that 2 day boycott succeeds, it wont have any effect. The economy wont feel a thing.

Siguro 6 month boycott pwede pa ma-hurt ang economy. Around 6B dollars yan.

But who is that boycott gonna hurt more? The economy or the dependents?

Blame the weak dollar on Bush.

Tax cuts and govt super-overspending and trade deficit with China sent the dollar into free fall.
