Nice to hear from you, now ko lang na-check itong thread uli. Naka a-toys na pla dmax mo ah! Pki-post mo nman d2 pra makita ng tropa. Balik ka ba d2 sa january. Baka c zavjalov mkapalit ko early dec, walang makuhang pinoy. Balitaan mko sa plans mo.
SDRIVE:
Hehehe.
Abt recruitment and wages pra sa nagtatanong. Well, sa recruitment,- it was true that chinese almost got the title from pinoy's as the number one supplier of seafarer's around the world during early of 2000.
But nowadays, is a completely different story, recruitment of pinoy in a seafaring world has been drastically increase esp for officers to the point na makakapag-demand ka na ng asking salary mo or makakapili ka ng company kung saan mo gusto.
The reason is due to many factors like, english comm skills ng chinese, performance onb in all aspect and many others, that's why owners are resorting back to pinoy's manpower.
Hnd lang nman chinese ang naging threat sa pinoy, ksama na rin ang mga russian and other cheap labor countries. For the record, more than 10,000 officer's are needed to fill the requirement of the shipping industry today.
Regarding sa wages.- Well, it is actually based on the economic level of a particular country you are in. To give you an example. a filipino capt on a tanker vessel receives about US7k/month, actually pinakamataas na alam ko sa ngayon ay up to more than US8k, compare it to like sa norwegian capt on the same vessel, they receive abt US18k. So, it's more than double for an exactly the same position.
Though ang trend nga sa ngaun ay tataas pa ng tataas ang wages dahil nga sa kokonti na lang din sa european countries ang may interest sa ganitong trabaho which is another advantage sa mga pinoy. Sa other countries kasi, a seafaring profession is just like a vocational course, unlike sa atin na ang seafaring profession seems more than any other professional field. Saan ka ba nman nakakita na 4times kang kukuha ng licensure exam for each position ng profession mo, talo mo pa doctor or lawyer at sa pilipinas lang meron nyan, mabuti na lang at tatlong beses na lang ngayon, nabawasan ng isa. Hehehe.

2M ba sa seismic ay DP operator din? Balita ko maganda kita ng 2M sa seismic compare sa regular 2M sa ibang type ng vessel, totoo ba 'to?
