Guys, sorry this is a very old thread na, pero instead of creating a new one makikisawsaw na lang ako.
Anybody here who's in the US now bearing a H1B (Working) visa? I have a H1B application that is sitll under process, malaki ba ang chance ng approval rate po?

June 26th, 2007 07:45 AM #64It's a lottery. There are only 65,000 slots per year. It was filled up on the first day this year.
Panong under process? Are you waiting for the notice of action?
Sa ngayon po ay "Case pending awaiting for approval. ". Malaki po ba ang chance ko na makakuha ng VISA? Sa inyo po anong experience nyo?

I came here on H1B 10 yrs ago, now as permanent resident. When you get your notice iinterviewhin ka sa embassy. Make sure you have your school credentials complete. Haven't heard of anyone being turned down when claiming their visa....unless spurious documents ang dala bec they do background checks on you sa school mo. Good luck!

Coast to coast pala tayo
Came here single then got married sa pinas a year after and wifey came back with me. You will be your wife's sponsor so she'll be H4. H4 wont be able to work legally..unless she gets sponsored by a company or when you shift to permanent residents. I have an 8 yr old son born here. Anak ko lang di marunong magtagalog. I work in IT (SAP)

Ok, as the case is being reviewed, they may ask further information or further documents. Mostly galing sa employer. But if sanay na yung employer, kumpleto na yung documents na hiningi sa yo at binigay nila. You just wait for the Notice of Action tapos punta ka na sa Embassy with all the docs.
If you are married and have kids, it is adviseable to apply for H4 visa at the same time, para isang punta na lang. Hopefully, and as it should be, your employer will pay for their visa application and air fare as well.
Now, when you get here, puwede ikaw na lang muna, kasi maghahanap ka pa ng apartment, bibili ka pa ng kotse, etc. Tapos sunod na lang sila. At least that's what I did. Pero it's up to you.
