June 18th, 2013 08:22 PM #1From my experience, the Xtrail CVT is more fuel efficient in highways than the 1st gen but for city, the first gen is better. I only ave 5.6km/L in my Xtrail CVT in pure city driving but 8km/L in highway with hataw. But for the 200k, it's worth it since the interiors are designed better with plenty of soft plastics, better quality buttons and better NVH. The only thing I miss on the first gen Xtrail is the softer suspension, softer seats and longer legroom for the driver side. You can test drive both to see which you prefer.
