1. try to check the gap of your contact point, ang tamang gap is 0.017 in. pag maliit ang gap ng contact point mo malaki ang dwell angle, ibig sabihin mataas ang time na naka close ang contact point.
2. if you have digital multi tester, you have to check your charging voltage, (upon checking the charging voltage your engine speed must be at 3,000 rpm), dapat 13.8 vdc ang charging volage, pag masyadong mataas ang charging voltage talagang iinit yung ignition coil mo.
3. try also check your contact piont if theres no damage in the contact.
4. you dont have to put an additional capacitor, aslong as you have the .27 micro farad na condenser. it could cause a high capacitive and inefficient to your ignition coil.
5 suggestion: use super 4 spark plug for your engine, you will notice a good performence.
thanks alot! Good day! God bless

It could be that your ignition coil is underrated.
This maybe the reason why it heats up early......
