According to India Car News, the second-generation Kicks will use a Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi platform dubbed the CMF-B. It is a modular chassis that first saw service in the fifth-generation Renault Clio that was launched in 2019. Since then, the CMF-B has been used in models such as the Nissan Juke, Dacia Sandero, and the upcoming Mitsubishi Colt.

My hunch is that the next Kicks will be a global release, compared to the current generation's regionalized release dates and variants.

There was a dealer convention in Vegas last month and rumors from that seem to indicate that the plan for the Kicks in North America is to launch as the first e-power Nissan in the US, with production due to begin in June 2024.

So I am speculating that we will see a new Kicks in SEA in late 2024 or early 2025.

Nissan to delay new SUV production by 6 months in Mexico due to stolen mold -Nikkei | CNA

Nissan Motor will delay the start of production of its next "Kicks" SUV model in Mexico by about six months after some mold components were stolen at a local supplier, the Nikkei newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Production of the remodelled "Kicks" had been due to start in December, but will now likely begin around June 2024, the paper said.
