March 2nd, 2022 12:09 PM #191what I meant was the NV350 Urvan to be rebadged as Mitsubishi L300 Versa Van. Using the current Nissan NV350 Urvan body. Not using the existing L300 body/chassis.
Unless if they resurrected the Fuzion or to Make an MPV based on the Strada/Montero Sport. This is a good challenger for the body on frame/RWD MPV like the Toyota Innova.

March 2nd, 2022 01:39 PM #193Just an engine swap and change of transmission from 5A/T to 7A/T Jatco RE5R05A to RE7R01B
I wonder, why bring the 4N16 when the existing 129ps 356Nm YD25 can be tuned to 190ps and swapped to 7AT same as with the Navara/Terra. They could have just utilise the smaller YS23 if higher emission control is desired.

I hope they improve the brake system and NVH of the new model as well.

Mas bago, magaan, refined at tahimik kasi ung 4N engines ng mmc if i'm not mistaken. I'm sure mas matipid din ng onti because of better linear power delivery. Engine note din also sounds better. Yung YD series engines mula 2000s pa. Kaya needless to say, mejo may kalumaan nadin ung mismong engine block.

March 2nd, 2022 04:12 PM #196YD25 series of engines are already dated and might not qualified anymore for Japanese emissions standards. Maybe that's why Nissan switched to the Mitsu 4N15/16 engine.
As for the YS engine which is sourced from Renault, it is also possible another engine option, this might drive the JDM Caravan sticker prices a bit high because it was sourced in Europe..

March 2nd, 2022 07:33 PM #197YD, YS and even the Mitsi 4N series are co-developed with Renault. In SA YS is being replaced back to YD because of reliability issues siguro and some regions single turbo instead of twin-turbo. Buti nalang si Mitsu niretire na talaga yung 4D56, kaha nalang ang talagang forever at column shifter parin
I doubt makakarating yan new Urvan dito without replacing the engine across the commercial vehicles. Si Toyota from KD to GD naka move-on na. For Japanese market lang siguro yan.

As of now, JDM lang.
The Nissan Urvan gets improved turbodiesel performance courtesy of Mitsubishi | TopGear PH
We’re talking about Mitsubishi’s 4N16 turbodiesel engine being injected into the Japanese NV350 lineup. The 2.4-liter mill churns out 130hp and up to 370Nm of torque. Nissan claims the new engine setup gives the 2023 NV350 improved acceleration, efficiency (up to 11.3km/L in mixed driving conditions with a 2WD drivetrain), and environmental compliance.

October 19th, 2022 05:25 PM #199^ That's cool! I've always thought Mitsubishi's diesel engine and 4x4 drivetrain tech was better than Nissan's. Gives me hope that we'll see a continuation of the Pajero-derived underpinnings in their shared SUV platform.

October 19th, 2022 07:37 PM #200is this the same as the delica d:5 engine? i'm sure the 370nm of tourque would be a perfect pairing lalo na sa fully loaded na van. sana nga lang umabot sa Pinas
