i mean to ask you a rather silly question because i have been planning to buy an eccs nissan for my next car. the question is, do EFI cars have A/F adjustment? may idle din ba? or wala na? maybe the cars computer will automatically adjust itself? forgive me of these questions because im totally new at this.. thanks for the relpies in advance... ingat po...

There is a step by step process to adjust the idle of an eccs but there is no way you can adjust the air fuel mixture because the computer automatically adjust it.

Magkano po magpa on-board diagnostic using CONSULT? At san po meron?
Idle problem po ng ECCS. Humihinga.

Usually Nissan dealers have this CONSULT. However, you may want to check your nearest Nissan dealer first if it is available. I asked Nissan Westgate before, Diagnostic fee is about 600 pesos.

A/F is adjusted automatically by the ECM. The adjustment is realtime, and depends on measurements received from different sensors like MAF/MAP, O2 sensors, engine RPM, load, etc.
Fuel quantity is adjusted by varying the on and off times of the fuel injectors.Last edited by oj88; September 11th, 2010 at 10:46 PM.
