Hello Glovers! Here's my update about my GL:

- got my i-touch and set of plates after 1 month

- it's freaking hard to maintain the beige interior. I used turtle wax leather seat cleaner but I can still see the stains. What are you guys using to clean the leather seats & dashboard? You see, I bought a new pair of dark jeans and realized too late that the color (dye) stained the seats.

- i passed through ortigas ave. last sunday evening and didn't see the diggings at the corner of Galleria. The steel plate cover was ajar and I fell on a deep hole puncturing my lef front tire. I don't think insurance will cover it.

- used my GL for a week driving the family visiting from Cebu. 9 people fit in the GL (including driver) on a 2-4-3 seating arrangement (7 adults + 2 teens). Went to Pampanga and Tagaytay and 3rd row occupants complained of discomfort. Have to put aircon on +3 or +4, depending on the time of the day.

- no problem with power and aircon, except that it's noisy at +4. Suspension is excellent.

- had my 1000KM check up at Mantrade. Paid P3K for oil & consumables (including tip)! Gosh, I didn't realize they put in synthetic!

- scratches start to show up and bird droppings caused a "mark" on the paint. Mine is bluish-black.

sir, me too i had to set my A/C at 3 or 4 to sufficiently cool my 3rd row passengers (mid-day trip, mainit din talaga weather). Pero max load ko sa GL ko is only 6 adults and 1 toddler. Sulit na sulit pala GL mo this summer, hehehe. sir yoogix mentioned in his post that he noticed an improvement in FC after switching to fully synthetic oil for 10K pms. Meron ka rin napansin na changes sa FC mo sir after your 1K pms? Baka sa next pms ko (5k) i might also opt for fully synthetic if it would boost my FC. I also had a problem with my GL's coating. A few days after the unit was delivered to me, I noticed several specks on the hood and sides ng windshield ng unit ko. small specks lang, I counted nine specks in all. Very small specks, siguro 1/2 lang ng butil ng bigas yung laki, but it got me worried because the grayish base paint is exposed and the specks might get bigger over time. Don't know how they got there. I complained to NMPI. Sabi nila baka raw fault ko yon and that di raw nila nilalabas yung unit kapag may ganong problems. I insisted na unlikely na sa akin yung fault. Matapos ang kulitan, they offered to recoat the affected areas for free, hassle nga lang kasi 2 to 3 days yung unit sa casa nila.

Hi Guys, I just like to share about the FC of our Livi. Yes its true that FC is dependent on several factors like engine size, vehicle load, correct tire pressure, traffic conditions and driving habit. All this in considerations (and my driving habit mostly is a bit enthusiastic), my FC is between 8km/liter to 8.5km/liter.

2 weeks ago we had our 10k pms. I opted for a fully synthetic oil (recommended oil from NMPI - Nissan Elf Z Charge). I noticed a drammatic improvement on my fc from 8.5km to 10km/liter. Maybe its the more superior lubricating properties of the synthetic oil as compared to regular oil we used to have on our GL. I had my full tank this morning and now practicing a more conservative driving habit - staying at 2000 rpm maximum at most times. I noticed that Automatic transmission shifts every time the rev needle reaches at 2000 rpm. I also noticed that I can reach 100km/h at just 2000rpm (2100 -2200 on inclined planes), hopefully, i could get a better mileage than 10km/liter this time. I will post again the next time we gas up and got the mileage reading.

this is just based on my observations and I am no mechanic that would have technical data. just sharing

thanks sa share nyo sir. Sa next PMS ko (5k), subukan ko rin yung fully synthetic and observe kung may difference sa FC. nakaka-obsess talaga itong FC, i'm really eager to reach a 12kms/liter city driving na FC.

so far 2 full tanks pa lang ang nauubos ng 2week old GL ko. FC is at 8km/l at pure city driving (qc to makati to qc). was really hoping for atleast 10km/l considering that that most of my lakad have no passengers but myself as the driver. sana gumanda pa but i dont expect anything drastic. mukahng 8-10km/l ang FC (city) ng a/t na GL.

Thanks Sir Yoogix! What a verygood observation. This is one useful info that will help save of money for GL owners. I will also try fully synthetic on my 1k PMS.

I'll be trying Big Bert's paint protection this weekend, this season kase ung papalit palit ng weather so it might stain sa paint ni GL. Hopefully effective, wala pa kase ako kilala nagpagawa ng ganun pero sabi sa nung Supervisor sa Big Bert's wala daw ako proproblemahin sa water stain pag naka paint protection ako..
