Nissan Vanette Grand Coach pala to. thx!

have you check the dip stick kung may amoy sunog? distributor cap? high tension wire? or the spark plug? sa tingin ko electrical ang nagcause ng amoy niyan

lots of factors:
a) dead battery
b) disconnected or dirty or corrided battery terminals
c) etc.
can you give other signs and symptoms? how long have you been using your battery?
with regards to the amoy, electrical yan like blown fuses, faulty distributor, removed or loose high tension wires, dead spark plugs.

thx mga sir!
di ko na nacheck ung kanina kasi malalate na ko sa office. medyo worried lang si misis kasi baka ung problem nga is dulot nung amoy kagabi. the mechanical is fine naman (ayos pa talaga makina), so meaning sir i need to get a good electrician?
ung battery pala is about 3months old lang. balik nga ko bahay ngayon, swap ko muna ung battery ng oto ko sa van para matry kung gagana.

kung nag-over charge hindi ba umilaw yung battery sign sa dashboard? pero best thing to do bro is to have your vehicle checked by a reputable auto electrician... pa check mo na din yung battery mo.

May 29th, 2009 12:42 PM #7overcharging nga ang nangyari (nangamoy/lomobo)... have the alternator checked immediately before it also damages the sentra battery
and don't ever test the alternator by removing the battery while the engine is running ... else you'll fry everything electronic with overvoltageLast edited by kinyo; May 29th, 2009 at 12:46 PM.

Check also if the battery location is fixed; if i recall correctly, before Nissan switched the location (turned around) of the battery on our Vanette during one of the PMS stops as part of a recall or service fix (to a grounding problem?)... can't recall exactly as that was over 15 years ago.

May 29th, 2009 05:01 PM #10marami rin magagaling magrepair nyan ... the electronic regulator must have failed and needs to be replaced ... however, the alternator winding was subjected to overcurrent and must have overheated and probably needs rewinding too, which could take time to repair
i think a surplus unit with some warranty is best for you ... with luck, some electrical shops have surplus/refurbished units that are exact replacement for your alternator ... happy hunting!
