April 23rd, 2012 08:48 PM #1Hehe! Hindi kasi mabenta, too small for its price. Hinabol lang yun sentra 200 model para masabi lang may nilabas pa rin sila na sentra na up to date. Yun sentra 200 kasi north american version. Pero alam ko hindi na sentra gagamitin, Slyphy na daw gagamitin starting this model for our country daw

Sana Sentra pa rin kasi matagal na yung name na yun eh, so kilala na.
If Nissan starts using Sylphy, baka magtaka yung pinoy regarding its reliability again. Kasi nga bago sa pandinig. Hehehe. Unlike kapag Sentra, mag-snap agad sa utak nila yung past reps ng Sentra na nilabas dito. Hehe.
Unless they do something like...
The new Sentra: Nissan Sylphy; or..
Nissan Sentra Sylphy
Medyo redundant nga lang yung last, though. Hehe. Pero parang Tamaraw FX Revo lang naman yan. Lol.

Hope they bring it here as soon as it's launched. Maganda nga to launch a new car now since the Civic isnt that great it seems while the Lancer and Altis will start ageing in the coming year while Elantra stocks are just backed up right?
* the Sentra 200, if it sold at the 800K range, it would have been a good seller if you ask me. It has good fit, feel and finish when i tried it out but the price and specs were just quite prohibitive.

Well, atleast its cheaper than the incoming Mazda 3 * 999k. But it's still expensive, if you ask me since you can get at a much lesser price a 6spd MT Altis.
If the Sylphy will be priced around 820-850k at least for an entry level, it would most likely sell. If they can't bring it that low, sucks for them.

The outgoing Sentra 200 (USDM model) isn't really small, its just expensive (because its CBU from Mexico) and under spec'ed.
The 2013 USDM Sentra (blue car in the first pic and video) and 2013 Sylphy have been merged into one car.
I'm guessing they will most likely continue to use the Sentra name here.
