September 20th, 2019 10:14 AM #1121i don't own a 2013. but i did own a 1997. and even that time, sentra parts were fairly available naman, but not as easily available as toyota's corolla.
but it's still a popular car, so i do not see difficulties in maintenance and parts.
folks say its fuel appetite is "a bit bigger than the competition's".
but hey! it's also more spacious inside, compared to its non-nissan competition.
if i needed a car and a sentra comes along, i may just get it.Last edited by dr. d; September 20th, 2019 at 10:19 AM.

Madami pang almera sa ibang lots. Check other banks.
Sentra gx? That car has been onsale for the most part of the last decade. maybe not as abundant as a vios, but there is still an existing parts market outside the casa as it is also used by some taxis.

The Sentra N16 platform has been available locally since 2001. Parts are surely abundant - Yen and Nisparts at Banawe are the most common shops you can go to. If you can find the GS (AT) or GSX (MT) model, that would be better as these have better features and fuel consumption is no different than the GX model with the 1.3L engine. The QG13 engine is not that powerful but it offers better low end torque than Toyota's 1.3L engine.
The only key issue with the N16 platform is its front suspension. The rubber bushings on the front lower suspension arms need replacement every year but it is an easy fix.

September 20th, 2019 10:31 AM #1126are you the one personally looking at the cars? or is someone doing it for you?
...hard to decide, if one has to rely on a middleman's opinion, even as she's your spouse.
if i may,
go vios or altis. ...the older models, if you need to stick within your budget.
there's a lot of them in the market.
and if it needs fixin', the market is awash with knowledgeable mechanics and parts.
btw,
repossessed cars is for knowledgeable buyers, in my opinion. the repossessor makes no warranties of any kind. only that, "if it breaks in two, you own both pieces".
personally, i prefer buying from owner-sellers.
happy hunting.Last edited by dr. d; September 20th, 2019 at 10:53 AM.
