May comments ba kayo sa year and model na to? Kumusta kaya availability ng parts? Planning to use it 2-3 years. Mostly hatid sundo lang sa kids and school and mall cguro pag weekends. Thank you.
are you the one personally looking at the cars? or is someone doing it for you?
...hard to decide, if one has to rely on a middleman's opinion, even as she's your spouse.

    if i may,
go vios or altis. ...the older models, if you need to stick within your budget.
there's a lot of them in the market.
and if it needs fixin', the market is awash with knowledgeable mechanics and parts.

    btw,
repossessed cars is for knowledgeable buyers, in my opinion. the repossessor makes no warranties of any kind. only that, "if it breaks in two, you own both pieces".
personally, i prefer buying from owner-sellers.

    happy hunting.

btw, the 2013 Sentra GX, the posted price is 265K. that's what it makes it kinda tempting.

    my sour-grapes mottoes:
"we don't want to be the one to find out, why it's selling that cheap."
"don't rush. the next one might be even better than 'the one that got away' ".

i am a late boomer when it comes to cars. got my first car in 2016. it was a hyundai i10 2010 AT. got it for a steal price of 230K for 30K plus mileage. the first owner only used it as a service car for kids. before we made the purchase, the plan was to use it for 2 to 3 years. here we are now, looking for a replacement.

naywayers say the wigo is not a true toyota.. that it is really a daihatsu (which toyota already owns).
but after having owned one for 5 years and 40K+ km, i think it's a good basic car.

a millennial altis is also a good buy. i also have one. it uses more gas than the wigo, but it is a more comfortable ride.

    city driving + edsa:
wigo AT, 9-10 km/li. 8 if really bad traffic.
    altis AT, 7-8 km/li.

    highway:
    wigo, 15-17 km/li.
    altis, 11-12 km/li.

if you stumble across a diesel innova MT... it, to me, offers great fuel economy and lotsa passenger space.
